Expert GraphPatent-grade inheritanceof Japan's expert wisdom.

Not a transcript service. Not a generic LLM wrapper. Expert Graph is a patent-pending knowledge-graph engine paired with a dedicated capture app, purpose-built to extract the tacit judgment of Japanese veteran experts and convert it into an operable AI agent.

Especially powerful for post-M&A acquirers inheriting a Japanese business: pull the outgoing team's know-how out of their heads, modernize it, and run the business on it.

  • Patent-pending graph engineOur proprietary structuring algorithm (patent pending in Japan) converts tacit judgment into a machine-readable knowledge graph — not summaries, not transcripts.
  • Dedicated capture appA purpose-built iOS/web app guides experts through structured elicitation sessions. No consultant-with-a-notepad; sessions are designed to surface judgment criteria and edge cases.
  • ~1 month to AI agentFrom first capture session to a working AI agent your team can query — typically four weeks. Backed by POC data: −30% cost, +12% margin.

Why now

Japan is losing a generation of veteran experts faster than it can replace them — and a record wave of small and mid-sized Japanese businesses is changing hands, often to foreign acquirers. The judgment that actually runs these companies — the part no manual captures, the part that lives in one engineer's head or one founder's instincts — is leaving the workforce. Expert Graph structures that judgment before it disappears, modernizes it, and delivers it as an AI agent that keeps producing value for whoever inherits the business.

Built for cross-border succession

Inheriting a Japanese business after M&A?

Most of the value you bought is in people who are about to retire — and most of it was never written down, in any language. Our capture app and patent-pending graph engine extract that tacit operating knowledge in Japanese, structure it, translate the logic into something your team can act on, and stand up an AI agent that lets the new operator run the business with confidence from day one. Service delivery is Japan-only; client headquarters can be anywhere.

Where it applies

R&D inheritance

Capture researchers' experimental intuition, judgment heuristics and failure knowledge — the parts no lab notebook records.

Technical inheritance

Preserve veteran engineers' know-how, tolerance judgment and troubleshooting instincts on the shop floor.

Business succession

Structure founders' management philosophy and decision logic so the next generation — or a new owner — can run the business.

Sales inheritance

Make top performers' negotiation tactics and customer-reading skills visible and reusable across the team.

Regional enterprise wisdom

Encode the judgment, trade relationships and field instincts that drive long-standing regional Japanese firms.

Post-M&A succession

When a foreign acquirer takes over a Japanese business, extract the outgoing team's tacit know-how before it walks out the door, and modernize it into operable assets.

Our approach

Three stages, ~1 month end to end. Patent pending in Japan.

  1. 01 · Capture

    Dedicated capture app

A purpose-built iOS/web app runs structured elicitation sessions with each expert — surfacing judgment criteria, edge cases, failure knowledge and decision logic that interviews alone miss.

  2. 02 · Structure

    Patent-pending graph engine

Our proprietary algorithm (patent pending) converts captured wisdom into a structured knowledge graph — machine-readable, auditable, and modernized for use by a new generation of operators.

  3. 03 · Deliver

    AI agent hand-off

We deliver a working AI agent your team — or your post-M&A operating team — can query, extend, and trust in production. Typically four weeks from kickoff.

Service delivery is currently limited to businesses operating in Japan. Foreign acquirers and cross-border operators are welcome — engagement and contracting happen in English; field capture happens in Japanese.

Product

A dedicated capture app, backed by a patent-pending graph engine.

Expert Graph is not a generic LLM wrapper. It is a two-part system: a purpose-built capture application that experts actually use, and a proprietary structuring engine (patent pending in Japan) that turns those sessions into a queryable knowledge graph.

01 · Expert Capture (iOS / Web)

Structured elicitation, not interviews.

The capture app guides each veteran through proven elicitation frameworks — judgment criteria, edge cases, failure knowledge, decision logic. Audio is recorded and transcribed in Japanese, then tagged in real time. Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes; most experts complete 8–12 sessions.

  • Designed for non-technical experts — no training required.
  • Built-in knowledge taxonomy: judgment, heuristics, failure modes, decisions.
  • Japanese-native UX; outputs are structured for downstream translation.

02 · Knowledge Graph (Patent pending)

From transcripts to an operable knowledge asset.

Our proprietary structuring algorithm — patent pending in Japan — converts captured sessions into a machine-readable graph of concepts, patterns, evidence and decisions. Unlike summary RAG, the graph preserves why an expert decides, not just what they said.

  • Auditable: every node traces back to source utterance and expert.
  • Modernizable: legacy domain logic translated into structured rules.
  • Delivered as an AI agent your operating team can query and extend.

Human-led delivery

Not AI-only. Senior Japanese consultants in the room.

The patent-pending engine and the capture app do the heavy lifting — but the final judgment, the cultural reading of what an expert really meant, and the modernization of legacy domain logic are done by hand, by senior Japanese business consultants with 25+ years of in-country corporate consulting experience. Especially for foreign acquirers, this human bridge is what makes the inherited knowledge actually usable on day one.

Featured: Kotoba Miki — lead consultant on Expert Graph engagements

Kotoba Miki personally leads the human side of every Expert Graph engagement. With over 25 years of corporate consulting practice inside Japan — across manufacturing, infrastructure, finance, retail, media and public sector clients (MS&AD, Mitsubishi Estate, Fujitsu, NTT, NHK, Toyota Tsusho, and others) — Miki is one of the few practitioners who can read both the boardroom and the factory floor in Japanese, and translate the result into something a foreign acquirer or modern operator can actually run.

That practice spans both ends of the spectrum: extensive international negotiation experience between overseas corporates and Japanese companies (cross-border deals, alliances, post-M&A integration), and deep, hands-on work with Japan's regional and rural economies — local industries, family businesses and community-rooted ventures that most foreign advisors never reach. Miki also leads Me&Future, the group's ideation hub co-creating the futures of individuals, regions and organizations across Japan.

  • 25+ years of in-country corporate consulting and business design.
  • Extensive international negotiation experience between overseas and Japanese corporates.
  • Active in Japan's regional / rural business communities — not just Tokyo boardrooms.
  • Leads Me&Future — group ideation hub for individuals, regions and organizations.
  • Personally facilitates expert capture sessions in Japanese — no outsourced interviewers.
  • Backed by co-directors Hiroshi Sasaki and Yusuke Kumagai.

Why this matters: generic LLM tools can summarize a transcript. They cannot tell you which veteran's hesitation actually meant "this will fail in winter," or which unwritten rule a Japanese factory has lived by for 30 years. That gap is closed by a human with 25 years inside Japanese business — not by the model.
